The founder of Festival of Arts and Culture Expo (FACE), Princess Asha Okojie-Osazuwa, stated that the organisation will be honouring outstanding Nigerians in the United States of America to enhance public and private sectors involvement in promoting community economic development initiatives, Nigeria’s restructuring agenda, small and medium enterprises for economic growth and job creation.
Princess Okojie-Osazuwa added that the expo will create an enabling environment for investment, and capacity building with the goal of strengthening regional security, energy, inter-parliamentary diplomacy, foreign policies, trade relations and philanthropic initiatives through cultural diplomacy.
While speaking with journalists and some of the prospective awardees during a briefing that Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, the organisers hinted that the forum will focus on governance and democracy, finance and banking, aviation, travel and maritime industry, trade and investment, terrorism and insurgency among others.
The CEO of Conduit Communications, Mr Victor Gotevbe, stated that the awardees were selected through a rigorous exercise by dedicated and trusted panellists; he added that in time where people pay their way to get international recognitions and awards, the selected awardees have proved their onions in their fields and deserved a mention on global scene.
The 2017 US-Nigeria Legislative & Executive Leadership Forum, tagged: “Nigeria Revitalisation Initiative: Global Partnership for Effective Development & Restructuring,” is billed for November 15-18, 2017, in Washington DC, USA.
Some of the awardees include First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, Emir of Kano, HRH Sanusi Lamido, CEO, Kazeem Royal Properties Limited, Prince Kazeem Eletu-Odibo, General Overseer, Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, among others.
