ALTHOUGH there is no tension in Enugu and its environs, security is still beefed up as law enforcement agents are stationed in strategic points in the state.
Reports from Abakaliki, Anambra, Umuahia and Owerri also indicated there is no tension in the areas, as people were seen going about their normal businesses.
A visit to motor parks in the major towns of the five states namely Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo showed that there were no upsurge of travellers in the areas.

It was learnt that fares were still the same. For instance, when Sunday Tribune visited Old Park in Enugu, the fare from Enugu was pegged at N1,000, while intra-state transport fares were not increased.
Contacted, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amarizu, said there was nothing to worry about, stressing that the police had since tightened security in the state.
He advised people to maintain law and order, and go about their legitimate business.
“We are equal to the task and there is no need to fear or worry about. Enugu is the safest state in the country. I do not see any reason our people should fear. There is no tension”, he added.
