The constant job losses in Nigeria calls for urgent attention. In the last two years, thousands of Nigerians have been laid off by their employers as a result of the economic recession in the country.
These fellow compatriots are now living from hand to mouth, without even a ray of hope.
The statistics reeled out by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) is frightening. The Federal Government needs to do something urgent to reverse the trend, if only to prevent those who have lost their jobs from either committing suicide or embracing criminality. A stitch in time saves nine.
