THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) recent announcement of the cut-off points of 120 marks for admission into universities and 100 marks for polytechnics and related institutions of higher learning is ridiculous and incredible.
The marks are sub-standard for admission to the nation’s Ivory Towers.
In my view, the previous cut-off points of 180 marks for university and 150 marks out of 400 marks for polytechnics and other is better and credible.
Nigeria is regarded as the giant of Africa. Nobody should politicise education.
