NDDCCross River State Governor, SenatorĀ Ben Ayade, has appraised the Management of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for its interest to partner the State in the construction of 14 kilometer access way from Calabar to the proposed site of the Bakassi Deep Seaport.
Governor Ayade gave the appraisal at the State Executive Chambers in Calabar, when he received a delegation from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The elated Governor Ayade noted that when realised, the road would complement the Deep Seaport project and further open up the area and foster economic development in the State.
He described the team as industrious people with great vision for development; adding that the visit also marked a formal partnership between the state and NDDC.

Affirming the commissionās readiness to partner the state in the project, the chairman, Governing Board of NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba, disclosed that the commission was ready to assist the State in realising the benefits of the Deep Seaport, by constructing the road.
He explained that Deep Seaport remained a major project that would have a positive impact on the socioeconomic life of the State and Nigeria as a whole.
