The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has threatened to, in a few days, resume attacks on oil and gas facilities far into the deep sea operations unless the country is restructured by the present government.
The militant said the Federal Government should brace up for the doomsday coming in few days against oil and gas assets in the region.
The separatist group in a statement on its website specifically said they would target several platforms and the FPSO on Total’s Egina field.
“This round of attacks will be the most deadly and will be targeting the deep sea operations of the multinationals which include Bonga Platform, Agbami, EA Field, Britania-U Field, Akpo Field.
“Oil installations shall dance to the sound of the fury of the Niger Delta Avengers,” the group said in its statement.
Before this latest threat, the Avengers had attacked oil installations in the last two years before agreeing to a ceasefire, which it lifted in November 2017.
