PRESIDING minister of Genesis International, Ilaro, Ogun State, Evangelist Ekunola Davies, has blamed disunity and animosity on leadership failure in the country.
Davies stated this at a special programme held at Prayer Mountain, Ilaro, Ogun State, christened Unending Laughter.
He said the nation had continually witnessed inadequacies because of inept leadership, coupled with the failure of the citizens to imbibe the teachings of the Ten Commandments.
He said people had failed to serve God faithfully, and refused to be their brothers’ keepers.
“There is ignorance of the word of God as enshrined in the scriptures. Churches are not bringing this noticeable trend to the knowledge of their members. They have allowed the economic needs of the people to take advantage of the situation in the country to override their moral and spiritual teachings, tendencies and wicked ways,” he stated.
On the security situation, the convener of the annual Genesis International Crusade advised the Federal Government to intensify efforts at curbing the crisis occasioned by herdsmen killings, kidnapping, raping, robbery and other vices.
“The Federal Government should be proactive in order to unravel any place that is prone to attacks,” he stated.
