IN compliance to the directive of the national body of their respective unions, teaching and non-teaching staff of the University of Ibadan are not offering any service to students, while many offices and lecture rooms remain locked.

It was gathered that some PhD students agreed to take turns to serve as porters especially at the post graduate halls, so as to keep up with their research works.
Some non-teaching staff, under the platform of NASU, expressed positivity that upon meeting with the federal government on Thursday, the 2009 agreement under contention, will soon be implemented and the strike would be called off.
