THE governorship candidate of the Progressive People Alliance (PPA) in the Anambra State 2017 elections, Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo has flagged off his campaign in Onitsha, the Anambra State commercial city.
During the event, Ezeemo was presented with the party’s flag, signifying an end to the rumour making the round that the PPA candidate has no financial capacity to bill the major crown that will grace the event at All Saint Faith Church Onitsha.
The event was well attended as a massive crowd thronged to All Saint Faith Church in Onitsha, where Godwin Ezeemo was confirmed.
Dignitaries at the event include the National leader of the party, Senator Mojisola Akinfemiwa, National chairman, Chief Joseph Avazi and members of the National Executive Committee (NEC).
Speaking at the event, the State Chairman of the party, Chief Mathias Ameke said: For 14 years, we have been in the wilderness. Now it has pleased God to give us a leader that is capable of putting Anambra back on the right track. If you look at the PDP, it is full of crises, they are at each other’s throats.
The APC too is not faring better, they are an amalgam of strange bedfellows, who cannot deliver on their promises even at Federal Level. But we are happy today that the party of one of the SouthEast Leader, Dr Orji Uzo Kalu, who is now a Bot member of All Progressive Congress (APC), is here and I want you all to vote for the PPA to bring back the lost glory. If you vote for Ezeemo, he will replicate all those good programmes of old, he will revamp our education, bring back the revival of our agricultural sector, education shall also be brought back to reckoning,”
The National Chairman of the party Mr Peter Ameh said a new dawn would soon birth in Anambra state adding that the Progressive People Alliance was prepared to restore the lost glory of the state.
“We have ruled Imo state before, this is the time of Anambra State and we shall not disappoint you”
Ezeemo assured that his administration would improve on the programmes of the people oriented as against the campaign of calumny that he would abolish all the programmes.
“Some people have been on campaigns of calumny against me that I will abandon most of the projects I will meet on ground. I want to assure you all that we are not out to destroy whatever we meet but to build on whatever we meet on ground that is done properly. Today, Anambra State is undergoing a difficult situation, all our industries are dead and there is want and abject poverty in the land. The priority of my government shall be the good of the people of Anambra State he said,
